Chase Wealth Australia (ABN 52 618 021 462) ("Chase Wealth", "we", "us" or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information openly and transparently. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information, and how we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By using our website, submitting an enquiry or questionnaire, or otherwise providing your information to us, you agree to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this policy.

1. The personal information we collect

The kinds of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us. This may include:

  • Contact and identity details: your name, email address, phone number, postcode or suburb, and preferred contact method.
  • Financial and investment information you choose to share: for example your income range, the number of investment properties you own, your borrowing or investment goals, your timeframe, and the locations you are interested in. You provide this through our online questionnaires, enquiry forms, calls and meetings.
  • Records of your dealings with us: enquiries, the content of your messages, appointment details, and notes from our conversations. Telephone and video calls with our team may be recorded and transcribed for quality, training, record keeping and service purposes. Where a call is recorded, we will let you know.
  • Website and device information: your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the links you click, referring website, and the marketing campaign or advertisement that brought you to us (including UTM parameters and similar identifiers).
  • Marketing engagement information: whether you open our emails, which links you click, and how you respond to our advertising.

We generally do not seek to collect sensitive information (such as health information). Please do not send us sensitive information unless we specifically request it and you consent to provide it.

2. How we collect your information

We collect personal information in a number of ways, including:

  • Directly from you when you complete a form or questionnaire, download a resource such as an eBook, book a call, send us an email, call us, or speak with our team.
  • Automatically when you visit our website or interact with our advertising, through cookies, tags and similar technologies (see section 4).
  • From third parties such as advertising and social media platforms (for example Meta and Google) and our service providers, where you have engaged with our ads or where those parties are permitted to share information with us.

If we receive personal information about you that we did not ask for, we will deal with it in accordance with the APPs, and will destroy or de-identify it where it is lawful and reasonable to do so.

3. Why we collect, hold, use and disclose your information

We collect and use your personal information so that we can:

  • respond to your enquiries and provide the information, resources and services you request;
  • understand your circumstances and goals so we can assess how we may be able to help you with property investment and wealth services;
  • contact you by phone, email or message about your enquiry and our services;
  • manage our relationship with you, including keeping records of our communications;
  • send you marketing and educational material we think may interest you, where permitted (see section 7);
  • measure, improve and personalise our website, advertising and services;
  • meet our legal, regulatory and record keeping obligations; and
  • protect our business and prevent fraud or misuse of our services.

If you do not provide the information we ask for, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry or provide our services to you.

4. Cookies, analytics and online advertising

Our website uses cookies, tags and similar technologies to make the site work, to understand how it is used, and to deliver and measure advertising. These include tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, the Meta (Facebook) pixel and conversions API, and Google Ads conversion tracking.

These tools may collect information such as your IP address, the pages you visit, and your interactions with our site and ads. We and these platforms use this information to measure the performance of our campaigns and to show relevant advertising to you and to people with similar interests across Meta, Google and other platforms.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. You can also manage advertising preferences directly with the platforms, for example through your Meta ad preferences and Google ad settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of our website function.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose your personal information to:

  • Our team and related entities who need it to respond to you and provide our services;
  • Service providers who help us run our business, including customer relationship management and email marketing platforms (for example HubSpot and ActiveCampaign), website hosting, analytics, advertising and IT providers;
  • Advertising and technology platforms (for example Meta and Google) for the purposes described in section 4;
  • Professional advisers and partners where relevant to the services you have asked us to help with, and where you would reasonably expect us to do so; and
  • Government agencies, regulators or other parties where required or authorised by law.

We take reasonable steps to ensure our service providers protect your personal information and only use it for the purposes we engage them for.

6. Sending information overseas

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia. For example, our customer relationship management, email marketing, analytics and advertising providers (including HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Meta and Google) may store data in the United States or other countries where they or their sub-processors operate. Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.

7. Direct marketing and how to opt out

We may use your contact details to send you marketing and educational material about our services, offers and content, where we are permitted to do so. We will always give you a simple way to opt out.

You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails, replying with a request to stop, or contacting us using the details in section 13. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still contact you about your specific enquiry or an existing arrangement.

8. How we keep your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include access controls, secure systems, and using reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security of information sent to or held by us.

9. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

10. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details in section 13. We will respond within a reasonable time. There is generally no charge to make a request, although we may charge a reasonable fee for giving access in some circumstances. If we refuse access or correction, we will tell you why in writing.

11. Making a privacy complaint

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer using the details in section 13. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it, and respond to you within a reasonable time.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au, by phone on 1300 363 992.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated. We encourage you to review it periodically.
